For the first time in the history of the Knesset, an inter-parliamentary friendship group has been established between the Knesset and the United States House of Representatives. This marks another significant step in strengthening the relationship between Israel and its most important strategic ally. The friendship group will promote shared interests, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experts, and foster collaborations across various fields. The group was inaugurated during a visit to Israel by Congressman David Kustoff, who serves as the chair of the group in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Together with Congressman Kustoff, the Speaker of the Knesset, and my co-chair Boaz Bismuth, we toured Kfar Aza, where we met a resident who survived the massacre and has since returned to live there. Additionally, a series of meetings were held to plan future cooperation between the two parliaments.

I see this friendship group as a symbol of the deep and enduring bond between our two nations and our shared commitment to common values. We are living in a critical and historic time, and the establishment of this group will help us face challenges together.
