About Me

Hello everyone, I am Idan Roll, former Deputy Foreign Minister and Member of the Knesset. Currently, I serve on the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and as the Chairperson of the America-Israel Friendship League. My main work areas include foreign policy, national security, public diplomacy, Jewish Diaspora relations and fighting antisemitism.

I have a unique geopolitical perspective and I prioritize bringing innovative solutions to the security challenges of Israel and to the all regions. I am deeply involved in developing and promoting a multidisciplinary vision for the State of Israel, based on security, technological progress and addressing important social and political issues. I am committed to promoting public diplomacy and the Israel’s image worldwide by cultivating meaningful connections and partnerships with the global communities.

The connection between Israel and the Jewish communities in the Diaspora is inseparable, and my commitment to fighting antisemitism grows stronger. I aspire to create and promote dialogue in the Jewish communities, driven by the understanding and belief that the deeper the connection is, the stronger Israel’s position as the homeland for all of the Brunches of Judaism will become.

I hold an LL.B. and an M.A. in Public Law from Tel Aviv University. I developed my juristic expertise while working at Israel’s top law firms, specializing in startups, mergers and acquisitions, before transitioning to a career in the high-tech industry. I am a reserve officer in the IDF with the rank of Major.

I was born in Jerusalem and currently live in Tel Aviv with my husband and our two children.
